While inspecting the new siding installation on this brand new 2015 Orem, Utah town home community where Geneva Steel used to reside, I was amazed at the severe drop off in the quality of workmanship when I got back into the complex. From the main street passing by the front everything was finished off to perfection. What drives me crazy about this is that the evidence of the poor workmanship never goes away on its own. The installer saw the bent nail when his gun malfunctioned and then he just left it there. And then the painter came along and as an added layer of quality control he just sprayed over the flaw... Seriously!!!
ISSUE 2 - Look at the smashed lower edge of the siding where they either dropped it before installation or they banged it with a hammer to get it into position.
ISSUE 3 - Look at the nail to the left of the bent one... It is not even fully driven flush into the siding.
